In ministry, there are always many things that have to happen to keep the organization operating smoothly. Things that are often not very glamorous, like keeping up with the finances, cleaning, or organizing participant information. However, these areas of service are the engine that keeps the rest of the ministry running. This week we wanted to share with you some of the things that happen behind the scenes every week that are essential aspects of our ministry!
Roxana Always Serving
As many of you know, my amazing wife, Roxana is our financial director. You may not always see her in many of the photos or videos, and that is because she typically is working tirelessly behind the scenes. She focuses on keeping us up to date on our finances and paperwork. For example, she manages employee records and forms, vacation records, donations, and employee evaluations. She is also filling out the necessary paperwork for our interns, creating daily reports, keeping up with the laws that apply to our ministry, and providing reports for our Board of Directors to name a few. As you can imagine, this is a lot of work that takes time and expertise. She serves us selflessly every day ensuring that our ministry, staff, and family are taken care of. She has an often thankless job, but we are all so grateful for her and all she does for us.
Building Relationships through our CRM
In addition, we are continuing to keep up and update our CRM (client relationship manager) software with new youth we come in contact with. It is tedious work to sort through and organize all 3,000+ contacts, call these young people to encourage them, and see if they would like to get involved with us and send thousands of letters to them monthly. But this program allows us to do our follow-up ministry more effectively and efficiently.
Office Daily Operations
Every day we have to purchase things for our daily operations such as cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer for our upcoming purity conference, paper for our printer, or a new computer keyboard to replace an old one. We believe that we should do all things with excellence for the Lord, even if it is the materials we print or ensuring our office space is clean and disinfectanted. As you can see, there is always something to purchase to keep up with the ministry we are doing here.
Upcoming Event: Purity Conference
We are very excited to be hosting a purity conference this Saturday, February 13th. We have around 60 youth and young adults coming to participate in the event. Will you pray for the participants? Pray that they will commit their purity to God and find encouragement in the weekend.
A Few Needs
1. We are excited to have a few new staff members joining our team this month. One of them will be managing the follow-up ministry we mentioned above. We are in need of more funds to support our new staff members.
2. For $150/month, you can fully provide for our CRM software and management software which we use every day to keep track of our contacts and daily tasks and preparations.
3. You can always donate towards our office daily operations. This helps us pay for items like printer paper, office supplies, computer accessories, and rent for our office space.
